Liverpool trio Pepe Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso played the full 90 minutes as Spain completed their impressive start to the European Championships with a 2-1 win over Greece on Wednesday night.
The Reds trio were part of second string Spanish side who had already secured progression to the quarter finals after two wins in the group, they face Italy on Sunday in Vienna.
Alonso was particularly impressive, staking a claim for a starting spot when Luis Aragones recalls the strongest line-up for Sunday’s match.
The other final group match saw Russia defeat Sweden 2-0 in order to join Spain in the knockout stages.
