Euro 2008 Redwatch so far

Four games into Euro 2008, and the tournament hasn’t exactly started with a bang.

There’s been victories for the Czech Republic, Portugal, Croatia and Germany so far and today could see the first involvement of a Liverpool player in the tournament.

Imminent signing Philipp Degen did not come off the bench during the Swiss’ 1-0 defeat to the Czechs in the tournament’s opening match.

Tonight sees the start of matches in Group C, the so-called “group of death”.

Former Liverpool striker, now at Chelsea, Nicholas Anelka could feature for the French as they take on Romania at the Letzigrund Stadion in Zurich (KO 17:00 BST, BBC).

Dirk Kuyt could play a part in the mouthwatering clash between Italy and Holland at the Stade de Suisse Wankdorf in Berne (KO 19:45 BST, ITV). The Dutch forward is likely to start on the bench however.

Tomorrow sees Spain take on Russia with Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso and Fernando Torres expected to start with Alvaro Arbeloa and Pepe Reina also in the the Spaniard’s squad.
