‘˜Torres goals so vital’ ‘“ Reina

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has revealed what it meant to him that made him run the full length of the pitch to join in celebrations when Fernando Torres bagged the late winners against Chelsea on Sunday.

Torres stole the show by netting twice in the last five minutes against fellow title rivals Chelsea to keep Liverpool’s place in the race for the Premier League alive.

Reina explained to the club’s official web site, “That goal was so special because of the moment – right at the end.

“It would have been more or less impossible to get into the title race – that is why I wanted to join in the celebrations.

“This month has been difficult but it is a long race. There is still life, we’re still in there and there’s a lot of football still to be played.

“It has not been like this so far in my three years at the club. There’s a different pressure but it’s a good kind of pressure.

“We believe we are still in the title race – let’s see what happens.”
