Liverpool striker Fernando Torres says the recent speculation surrounding Reds midfielder Javier Mascherano with a move to Barcelona is rubbish and that the Argentine international is very happy at Anfield.
Reports this week have suggested that Mascherano and his wife feel unsettled on Merseyside and are looking for a way out, but Torres, currently in South Africa for Spain in the Confederations Cup, says there’s no truth in the suggestions.
‘œJavier loves it at Liverpool ‘“ that is all I can tell you. In the summer people make a lot of noises about world class players ‘“ and Javier is world class,’ Torres told the Daily Mail.
‘œHe has said himself he is very happy at Anfield and there is no reason for him to want to leave.’
