New Liverpool signing Glen Johnson has described his first couple of weeks at the club as ‘œfantastic’.
The £17.5million right-back from Portsmouth also said he should have shrugged off the Achilles problem that forced him out of Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Rapid Vienna in time for tomorrow’s friendly against Thailand in Bangkok.
‘œThe early days at Liverpool have been fantastic,’ he said. ‘œEverybody has been brilliant to me and I feel like I am settling in really fast.
‘œObviously, they are right up there with the world’s best.
‘œThey showed that with how close they came last season. If a few minor errors are cut out, there would be a massive improvement.’
