Loan Watch: Flynn on target in the Europa League

On loan Liverpool midfielder Ryan Flynn grabbed a debut goal to give Falkirk a 1-0 victory in the first leg of their Europa League second qualifier against FC Vaduz tonight helping Falkirk win their first ever match in European competition. Flynn made an impressive start to his loan spell scoring with a deflected shot just five minutes after the half time interval.

Last week, Flynn rejoined Falkirk on a season long loan deal to gain valuable first-team experience in Scotland.

In 2004, Ryan joined Falkirk from Royston Boys Club, before impressing the Liverpool scouts. Ryan moved to Liverpools academy for a reported £75,000 in 2005 and was quickly promoted to Melwood in 2006.

Ryan played an integral part in the 2006 FA Youth Cup success and scored in the final against Manchester City. He also played a key role the following season helping the Youth Team retain the FA Youth Cup in 2007 with 3 goals during the Youth Cup campaign. Flynn was also part of the 2007/08 Reserve team squad that won the Reserve National Champions title and the Barclays Premier Reserve League North Title.

An FA Youth Cup winner in 2006 and 2007, Ryan joined Wrexham on loan last November and scored four goals for the Blue Square Premier league side in 21 appearances.

Although appearing in a number of pre-season friendlies for Liverpool, Ryan has yet to make his senior competitive debut for Liverpool.
