Liverpool will be without the services of both Yossi Benayoun and Javier Mascherano for tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Fiorentina in Italy.

Mascherano, who was a substitute in the Reds’ 6-1 Premier League victory over Hull City at Anfield, is suffering from flu whilst Benayoun picked up a knock to his leg and is ruled out.

The news means that Albert Riera will most likely keep his place in the starting line-up and Ryan Babel could be included after scoring twice against Hull at the weekend.

The Liverpool squad that has flown to Italy today is: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Insua, Lucas, Kuyt, Gerrard, Torres, Cavalieri, Aurelio, Dossena, Agger, Plessis, Voronin, Kyrgiakos, Babel, Riera, Spearing.

Fiorentina vs Liverpool gets underway at 7.45pm tomorrow, Tuesday 29th September and it’s live on Sky Sports.
