Liverpool seem to have been hit by some sort of flu outbreak, with several first team players becoming unavailable overnight to add to Rafa Benitez’s already lengthy injury list and leaving him without 11 players.
Star names Steven Gerrard (groin) Alberto Aquilani (flu) and Glen Johnson (calf) had already been ruled out of today’s match at Fulham due to injury, along with winger Albert Riera (hamstring), midfielder Nabil El Zhar (long term) and defender Martin Kelly (ankle).
But overnight Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger, David Ngog, Diego Cavalieri and Fabio Aurelio have all become unavailable and aren’t in the squad for today’s match.
Earlier this week midfielder Lucas Leiva missed the Arsenal match due to flu.
