This season we are beginning to see our youth development finally beginning to come to the fore, Daniel Ayala, Nathan Eccleston, Dani Pacheco, Stephen Darby and Martin Kelly have made their first team Premier League debuts, Damien Plessis and Jay Spearing have also featured in a number of games, Emiliano Insua has made a huge impression in the left back role while David Ngog has improved greatly this season..

Here, we take a quick look at a few Reserve team Statistics….

– The Liverpool Reserve team are currently two points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier Reserve League North, 2 points ahead of Manchester City and 3 points ahead of Manchester United.

– Their 4-1 victory over Hull City back in November extended their winning run to eight matches, the Reserves have not played a Reserve League game since that game two month ago….

– John McMahon has included 43 different players in his Reserve Squad so far this season in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North with only Nathan Eccleston and David Amoo having appeared in all 8 League games.

– Nathan Eccleston leads the goalscoring charts with 4 League goals and 1 Lancashire Senior Cup goal.
