Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez doubts Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh will be joining the Reds this summer after contract negotiations stalled.
The Morocco international is available on a free transfer and Liverpool were reported to be close to concluding a pre-contract agreement just last month. But The Telegraph report that the 26-year-old has hit out at Liverpool for being “fussy” over contract negotiations and Benitez is angry at the breakdown of the deal.
“I think that we will not sign him – but I will not say [any more],” said the Reds’ boss ahead of the clash with Arsenal – who are now favourites for his signature.
