Line-up vs West Ham: Kuyt and Benayoun start

Dirk Kuyt and Yossi Benayoun start in Liverpool’s midfield tonight, supporting David N’gog up front in Fernando Torres’ absence as the Reds go looking for three precious points at home to West Ham.

Results over the weekend mean Liverpool are now down in 7th place in the league, although victory at Anfield tonight would take them past Aston Villa and into 6th again.

Javier Mascherano, Ryan Babel and Alberto Aquilani all drop to the bench, whilst Lucas Leiva starts alongside Steven Gerrard and Maxi Rodriguez in midfield.

There is no place for youngster Dani Pacheco amongst the substitutes.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Agger, Maxi, Gerrard, Lucas, Benayoun, Kuyt, Ngog. Subs: Cavalieri, Aquilani, Babel, Mascherano, Degen, El Zhar, Ayala.
