Liverpool kick off their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Saudi Arabian champions Al-Hilal, in Altach, Austria.
Roy Hodgson’s first game in charge takes place during the Reds’ training camp in Austria where they have regularly visited during Rafa Benitez’s reign.
Al Hilal are managed by former Marseille boss Eric Gerets. Their star man is forward Yasser Saeed Al-Qahtani, their record signing and Saudi Arabian captain.
