Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has refused to say either way whether he would be open to a return to football management, but says he is happy with his role at Anfield.
Dalglish put himself forward for the vacant manager’s job this summer when the club parted company with Rafa Benitez, but Roy Hodgson was given the nod ahead of him.
After a torrid start to the season on the pitch for the Reds, Hodgson’s position has become increasingly under pressure. The team have managed just 6 points from a possible 21 in the Premier League so far.
And with fans calling Dalglish’s name from the Kop, Reuters news agency asked him whether he’d be open to return to the top job.
“First of all you need to be asked, second it needs to be suitable if you were asked. Because you don’t say ‘No’, people think you say ‘Yes’ but that is not necessarily true either.
“I wouldn’t say anything other than I am really happy at the moment. There is nothing definitive either way.”
