Dirk insists Hodgson is making progress

Dirk Kuyt says that behind-the-scenes, steps are being taken to stabilise the club, and that good form should follow soon.

Manager Roy Hodgson has come under increased pressure following a dismal start to the season for the Reds.

They currently sit 18th in the Premier League, with just 6 points from their opening 7 league games.

But Kuyt insists that despite the torrid on-the-pitch form, things are improving under Roy Hodgson.

“If you could see the training sessions, you could see the progress that is being made every day,” he told LFC Weekly magazine.

“We have been working really hard and we believe in ourselves. The progression is there and I believe it’s just a matter of time before it comes out on the pitch and the good results will follow.

“We are working hard on playing with the shape of the team that the manager likes to use and we have been making progress.

“We didn’t have a lot of time in pre-season to work on things but it is definitely starting to come together.”
Liverpool next face Everton in the Premier League a week on Sunday, after the international break.
