Due to two games being postponed during December, Roy Hodgson and his team face a very busy January fixture schedule.
The recent Premier League games at home to Fulham and away to Blackpool were postponed due to the snowy and freezing weather across the North West and Britain in the last few weeks.
What is more, Liverpool are due to play Wolves on Wednesday 29th December at Anfield, however burst pipes in the area forced Everton’s Boxing Day fixture against Birmingham City off.
Although this is not expected to affect the Liverpool-Wolves game, more snow is forecast before Wednesday.
Liverpool also have a New Years’ Day Premier League game at home to Bolton to kick-start the New Year, just four days before an away trip to Blackburn Rovers on January 5th 2011.
Four days after that it’s the FA Cup third round and the big trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester Utd on January 9th (live on ITV 1). That is followed by the rearranged Boxing Day fixture at Blackpool on January 12th.
Following that, there’s just four days rest before the second Merseyside Derby of the season against Everton, at Anfield on January 16th (live on Sky Sports).
The 22nd January sees an away trip to Wolves, before the hectic month concludes with Fulham at home on 26th January.
Add to that, should Liverpool overcome Man Utd in the FA Cup third round, the fourth round takes place the weekend of the 29/30 January.
