Reds keeper not leaving in summer

Liverpool’s third choice goalkeeper Brad Jones has insisted he is not leaving the club in the summer, contrary to reports this weekend.

Jones, who fell behind Peter Gulacsi as the Reds number two, following his £2.7million move from Middlesbrough last summer, has now been loaned out to Derby County for the remainder of the season.

He made his debut in Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to promotion candidates Cardiff City.

On his official Twitter account, the Australian international responded to the weekend’s reports claiming he is heading for an exit from Anfield.

He tweeted, “Completely untrue and really a poor attempt at a story.”
