Exeter vs Liverpool: Suarez starts

Liverpool are in action against League One side Exeter City in the second round of the League Cup this evening – the first time the Reds’ have entered the competition at this early stage for 12 years, due to no European involvement.

Kenny Dalglish has named a very strong starting eleven for the match – choosing to start the likes of Pepe Reina, Charlie Adam and Luis Suarez.

The only ‘youngsters’ in the team are right-back John Flanagan, left-back John Robinson and centre back Danny Wilson.

Raheem Sterling was in the squad that traveled to Exeter but isn’t included in the matchday 18.

Liverpool: Reina, Flanagan, Skrtel, Wilson, Robinson; Adam, Spearing; Henderson, Meireles, Maxi, Suarez.
Subs: Doni, Carragher, Enrique, Shelvey, Downing, Kuyt, Carroll.

Kick off at St. James’ Park is 7:45pm.
