Liverpool 1-0 QPR

Liverpool recovered from defeat at Fulham to see off Queen’s Park Rangers at Anfield on Saturday afternoon courtesy of Luis Suarez’s goal a minute into the second half.

Suarez headed home from six yards from a Charlie Adam cross just 69 seconds after the interval.

Liverpool dominated the game, as they have so often this season, but found themselves level at the break. QPR’s best spell came late on but the Reds held on for the win and another clean sheet.

Adam was impressive in midfield alongside Jordan Henderson, Suarez was his typical menacing self up front and was able to score his first League goal since the start of October. While Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger’s centre back pairing continues to grow. Maxi Rodriguez was also dynamic and effective.

The all around lack of goals may be a worry still for most fans, but Kenny Dalglish said after “One is enough when the others don’t get an opportunity and the players showed great courage and belief in what they are doing to continue doing what they were doing well which was pass and move and creating chances.

“Some of the football we played in the first half was brilliant and I think we played better before we scored than after it – but even then we still created a few.”
