Liverpool v Blackburn Rovers
Premier League, Monday 26th December 2011

Liverpool host Blacburn Rovers at Anfield on Boxing Day (3pm kick off). Our friends from the EA Sports Player Performance Index bring some interesting stats ahead of the game.

For Liverpool:

• Liverpool were held to a 0-0 draw by Wigan in their last Barclays Premier League game
• Liverpool covered 62.82 miles in the game against Wigan, with Charlie Adam covering the most ground with 6.72 miles. The midfielder has covered the most ground for Liverpool in 11 of their games so far this season
• Jose Enrique has completed 20 dribbles so far this season, the highest of any defender in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index
• In light of Suarez’s ban, Liverpool will look to their other strikers to perform in front of goal, and no other Liverpool player has scored more than twice in the Barclays Premier League this season. Craig Bellamy has scored twice from 13 attempts at goal, though his on target rate is just 38%, while Andy Carroll has also scored twice but from 30 attempts and with 57% on target

For Blackburn:

• Blackburn suffered a major setback in their attempt to avoid relegation by suffering 3-2 defeat to Bolton in their last Barclays Premier League game
• Blackburn covered a total of 59.51 miles in that game with Morten Gamst Pedersen covering the most ground with 6.16 miles, the 7th time the Norwegian midfielder has covered the most ground for Blackburn this season
• Grant Hanley made four blocks for Blackburn against Bolton, the joint highest number of any player in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index
• Christopher Samba has made 47 clearance so far this season, now joint highest with Jonas Olsson
