Liverpool officials met with Udinese left-wing-back Pablo Armero‘s agent in London before the club’s defeat to QPR in the Premier League, according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Di Marzio reported this evening about the meeting, which could be over a proposed summer move for the 25-year-old to join the Reds.
World Football writer Gabriele Marcotti later claimed, via Twiter, that journalist Di Marzio is a reliable source and said of Reds target Armero, “For those who don’t know, Armero is a left wingback/winger who plays for Udinese. Very fast, very direct. Very good, IMO [in my opinion].”
He added, “Lots of tweets on Armero/LFC. 1. If LFC interested imagine wd be as winger, not LB. 2. His agent, Ramalho, has other clients too.”
Armero move to Udinese from Palmeiras in 2010 and has won 30 caps for Columbia.
