Line-Ups: Liverpool vs Everton – Gerrard & Carroll start

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard returns to the Liverpool team for tonight’s 217th Merseyside derby at Anfield (8pm kick off).

Gerrard starts in midfield alongside fellow local lad Jay Spearing, with Charlie Adam dropped after his poor display at Sunderland on Saturday.

Kenny Dalglish has opted to start Andy Carroll up front with Luis Suarez.

Martin Kelly continues at right back in Glen Johnson’s absence.
