Hillsborough Memorial Service Details Announced

The 23rd Hillsborough Memorial Service will begin at 2.45pm on Sunday, 15th April 2012, it has been announced.

The memorial service pays tribute to the 96 Liverpool fans that lost their lives at Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough Stadium in the 1989 FA Cup semi-final.

Liverpool play Everton at Wembley Stadium in the FA Cup semi-final the day before.

Fans are advised that a ticket must be required to enter the service. Tickets are available at a maximum of four per application, free of charge, by phoning the Ticket Office on 0843 170 5555 (overseas 0044 151 907 9399), by postal application to Liverpool Football Club Ticket Office, PO Box 204, Liverpool, L69 3JF or by visiting the LFC Store at Liverpool One or the Ticket Office at Anfield.

On the day of the service, the stadium will be open from 1pm, with respects being paid to the 96 at the Hillsborough Memorial on Anfield Road prior to and after the service.

There will be live coverage for fans unable to make the service on the club’s official TV channel, LFC TV and on the club’s official website.
