Swansea midfielder Joe Allen linked with LFC

BREAKING NEWS: Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has revealed Liverpool have an agreement not to sign any players from the Welsh side for the next 12 months as part of the compensation package for Brendan Rodgers.

Inevitably whenever a manager leaves one club to join another, key players from their former club are linked with a move to follow their boss to their new club.

Joe Allen in action for Swansea City.Already, despite Brendan Rodgers having not been officially unveiled at Anfield yet, Swansea midfielder Joe Allen is being linked with a move to Liverpool.

Allen, 22, was heavily scouted by Liverpool last season during his impressive debut campaign in the Premier League with the Welsh side and was linked with a move back in January.

According to the Daily Mail, new boss Rodgers will attempt to bring in Allen and midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson to Anfield.

Allen’s passing statistics have earned high praise this season, including a 100% pass completion record against Bolton this season.

Swansea though would not be willing to give up a key player in their squad and at least £10m would be required to bring Allen to Anfield.

Liverpool were also heavily linked with Swansea winger Scott Sinclair in recent months.
