Highly rated 18 year old forward Samed Yesil will join Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen for around £1m, according to several respected sources on Thursday afternoon.
Yesil is German of Turkish descent and had also attracted interest from Arsenal.
To describe his youth career as prolific would be fair:
2011/12: 27 games, 19 goals
2010/11: 36 games, 37 goals
2009/10: 29 games, 16 goals
He was part of the German squad at the FIFA Under 17’s World Cup last summer. Germany beat England before going out to eventual winners Mexico at the semi-final stage. Yesil scored six goals in the tournament, earning the silver boot.
Those who know Yesil have compared him to Gerd Muller and suggest Liverpool have secured a superb bargain deal.

Yesil would not be expected to immediately impact the first-team but definitely a bright signing for the future.
