Brendan Rodgers on why he’d “sign” Olympian Bradley Wiggins

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers explained to the club’s official website why he would sign Tour de France and Olympic Road Cycling hero Bradley Wiggins out of all the triumphant Olympians at London 2012.

Wiggins, a Liverpool fan, won gold medal for Great Britain in the Men’s Road Race in London just days after triumphantly winning the Tour de France in Paris, with many tipping the 32-year-old for the BBC’s prestigious Sports Personality of the Year award.

Rodgers said he admired ‘Wiggo’s’ determination to win in London after the highs of Paris.
