Italian side Udinese came back from a goal down at Anfield on Thursday evening to defeat Liverpool 3-2 in the Europa League.

Despite a late attacking surge from the Reds, the visitors held on after a flurry of second half goals had turned the game their way. Jonjo Shelvey had earlier given Liverpool the lead with a first half header.

Luis Suarez’s expertly taken free-kick shortly after Udinese’s third wasn’t enough to rescue a point for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
