Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has denied that the club are pursuing Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.
The 23-year-old England international has been heavily linked to the Reds after not yet signing a new contract at the Emirates.
Arsenal are still hopeful of convincing Walcott to stay in North London, but reports have suggested the Reds will be ready to step in with an £8million bid in January should that fall through.
However, Rodgers told reporters at his press conference ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Newcastle that Liverpool have no interest in Walcott.
He said, “There’s nothing in it. He’s an Arsenal player.”
