A resurgant second half performance from Liverpool rescued three points after falling behind to keep Brendan Rodgers’ men in the chase for the European places in the Premier League.
Christian Benteke struck first to give the relegation-threatened hosts the lead, but the Reds broke back swiftly after half-time.
Philippe Coutinho‘s brilliantly placed ball through to Jordan Henderson was met with a beautiful dinked finish from the former Sunderland man, before Steven Gerrard converted a penalty when Luis Suarez was brought down.
The result keeps Liverpool in seventh, three points behind sixth place Everton, and five points off Arsenal who occupy fifth spot and Europa League qualification.
West Ham come to visit the Reds at Anfield next weekend. The Hammers enjoyed a 3-1 victory over West Brom this weekend.
