As like against Stoke City and Aston Villa, it was a single Daniel Sturridge strike that was the only goal of the game as Simon Mignolet and his defence kept a third clean sheet of the season at the back.
Lucas marshalled Liverpool’s midfield was sheer authority, whilst Steven Gerrard was Captain Fantastic as usual, getting some great tackles in to stop United attacks.
Daniel Agger was calm and organised at the back alongside Martin Skrtel, whilst Glen Johnson looked lively and reliable on the right side.
Jordan Henderson looked like a man possessed as he shone with box to box play and endless spirit.
