Upon hearing the news, many would have asked who is he, so this article is to provide you all with information on Liverpool’s latest shot-stopper.

Aged just 20, Vigouroux has had a career that his seem him go on a journey with several clubs. The unique journey that he has made is that he didn’t come through the ranks as a schoolboy, Vigouroux attended and graduated Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Education and Football Development Centre and that is how his footballing career took off. Before that, he was with League One outfit Brentford before enrolling on this program that the North London side offered.

The key thing about Vigouroux is that he has European experience that will be key in next year’s NextGen series for Liverpool should he sign. Overall, Vigouroux has made 6 European appearances including games against Barcelona, Wolfsburg and Paris Saint Germain.

More recently, the Chilean shot stopper has had a loan spell with Skrill Premier side Hyde FC, who are already relegated and have the worst defence in that respective league. However, Vigouroux played extremely well at a side that wasn’t and without him, then that defensive record would have been much worse.

Remember that Vigouroux is currently on trial, but the goalkeeper is showing signs that he is very comfortable at the club following attending Under 21 games where he doesn’t play and wishing his team-mates all the best for these games. This is supported by increasing reports that he has agreed in principal to sign for Liverpool after his contract runs out with current club Spurs on 1st June 2014.

Another key feature about Vigouroux is that he has worked with current Liverpool Under 21s manager Alex Inglethorpe when he was an Under 18 player and Inglethorpe was the Under 18s manager at Tottenham Hotspur. This shows that Inglethorpe would have seen the potential in the young goalkeeper and that is why the Chilean is on trial at the club. It is unusual for players to have trials at better clubs but after seeing what Vigouroux can become, many Liverpool fans should have belief that Inglethorpe can bring him through the ranks, if he is to join the club in the summer.
