Once the paperwork is done, Emre Can will be Liverpool’s second signing of the summer and here we round-up the best reactions to the reported £9.7 million deal.
Liverpool confirmed they had agreed the deal with Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday morning and “subject to documentation being completed” Can will be registered as a Reds player on July 1st.
It is another shrewd move by Liverpool, completing another deal so early in the summer after the acquisition of England international Rickie Lambert earlier this week.
Can brings with him both youth and experience, having played for Bayern Munich and Leverkusen by the age of 20.
He was part of Leverkusen’s 2013/14 Champions League team and will provide Brendan Rodgers will versatile options in his midfield going forward.

Henderson's gumption and drive from midfield was sorely missed in the last stage of the season. Can will provide the thrust.

Can is a really good signing for me. He'll contribute now but has huge potential. Can't wait to see him plus his hair is cool & he's German.

Liverpool getting their business done early. Two potential key signings done before the World Cup. Other clubs should take note.

Can to Liverpool is interesting. Wonder where they'll use him. He played every position except CF and GK this season at Leverkusen. Good one
