Liverpool drew 2-2 with Arsenal on Sunday, with Martin Skrtel’s late equaliser earning Brendan Rodgers’ 10-man side a crucial point.
It was a hugely entertaining game, and one that the Reds bossed from start to finish. It was a good team performance, and defeat would have been a travesty.
Liverpool have had 295 passes, Arsenal have had 95.

Philippe Coutinho‘s opener seemed to set Rodgers’ side on their way to victory, but goals from Mathieu Debuchy and Olivier Giroud turned the game on its head.
The stage was set for Skrtel to bury a stoppage-time header, just minutes after substitute Fabio Borini had been sent-off.
Here is how twitter reacted to proceedings, whether it be ex-players, journalists or fans.

Who'd have thought both these teams would concede from a set piece?

Hugely entertaining, insane game. Skrtel brought some sanity to scoreline. Liverpool resilient. Szczesny excellent. But those defences…

Noticeable how it’s Lucas getting forward more than Gerrard now. Fitness an issue for Gerrard after so many games.

#LFC created 7 chances in the first half.
They only created six in their last three first halves at Anfield in the PL.— Andrew Beasley (@BassTunedToRed) December 21, 2014
Thank You Zaf for patching Skrtel so well. He scored with his head.

Got the minimum we deserved there. Played with attacking intent and pressed well, especially first half. Had 27 shots, more of that please.

The draw means Liverpool are in 10th place in the Premier League at Christmas, and although that is clearly disappointing, that equaliser may been huge come the end of the season.
Defeat would have left the Reds eight points behind Arsenal, which would take an awful lot of work to overcome in their quest for a top-four finish, with fellow Champions League hopefuls Manchester United even further ahead.
Let’s hope it is a moment that gives Liverpool’s campaign some much-needed momentum.
