Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was pleased with his side’s performance in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Raheem Sterling’s superb second half goal cancelled out Eden Hazard’s first half penalty, while the home side hit the post through Steven Gerrard too. Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois was named man of the match, showing Liverpool’s dominance.
“Our confidence is returning,” said Rodgers post-match. “We were very unfortunate not to win the game. Our speed of movement and passing was fantastic.
