Liverpool team news and provisional squad vs. Man United

Midfielder Lucas Leiva‘s fitness will be assessed ahead of Sunday’s visit of arch-rivals Manchester United.

Lucas has missed the last 9 games but is back in full training.

The Brazil international returned to training this week after a groin problem sustained six weeks ago but may not be ready to go straight into the squad.

Striker Mario Balotelli has recovered from the bout of illness which saw him miss Monday’s win at Swansea.

Midfielder Angel di Maria is available for Sunday’s match at Liverpool having served a one-match suspension for his dismissal against Arsenal.
