Milner will earn, according to The Guardian, around £150,000 per week at Anfield and has been lured by a “more regular role with Liverpool – and in his preferred central midfield position.”

Milner will add much needed experience to Liverpool’s young squad and a winning mentality. He’s been linked with even becoming the new club captain, taking over the armband from Steven Gerrard.

“Quality player in my opinion. Will give you 100%. Him and Can in the centre of midfield would be ideal. But Rogers will probably play him in goal…” – Anto on Facebook

“This is a great signing, especially for free, he was one of city’s best players last year, he gives 110% every game, and chips in with goals, just what we need” – Matt on Facebook
