Photos: Full Liverpool squad meet new boys Benteke and Firmino at Melwood

Liverpool’s two big summer signings, Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino, joined up with their new team mates for the first time at training on Tuesday.

Benteke and Firmino started training last week, alongside those players who weren’t on the club’s tour of Asia and Australia – Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Jose Enrique. Tuesday was the first time they had worked with Brendan Rodgers and coaches Sean O’Driscoll and Gary McAllister.

German under-21 midfielder Emre Can was also back working with Rodgers for the first time this summer, having been away with Germany under-21s at the European Championships.

The players will train together at Melwood this week prior to the weekend double-header in Helsinki (Saturday) and Swindon (Sunday).
