Liverpool supporters can look forward to a long trip to Russia this season, with the Reds drawn against Rubin Kazan in a challenging group for the 2015/16 Europa League.

Joining Kazan in Group B, the Reds will also take on Ligue 1 side Bordeaux and Switzerland’s FC Sion.

Liverpool will endure a 4,100-mile round trip to Rubin’s Kazan Arena, with Rinat Bilyaletdinov’s side finishing fifth in last season’s Russian Premier League.

Kazan have former Everton winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Brazilian attacking midfielder Carlos Eduardo in their ranks, but will be without former Liverpool target Yann M’Vila, who joined Sunderland on a season-long loan earlier this summer.

Bordeaux manager Willy Sagnol will be hoping for strong performances from captain Ludovic Sane and Brazilian forward Jussie.

Sion came seventh in last season’s Swiss Super League, but qualified for this season’s Europa League following their success in the Swiss Cup.
