Watch this superb video on Danny Ings, featuring behind the scenes footage as the Liverpool striker recovers from ACL surgery.

Ings was ruled out for the rest of the season just two days after Jurgen Klopp was appointed at the club, having suffered an ACL injury during his first training session with the new boss.

It was a huge blow not only for the player, but also Klopp – who was forced to field Divock Origi in his opening game in charge the next day.

Ings’ injury though was later revealed to be a “clean” tear meaning his recovery has been faster than anticipated.

Indeed, the Englishman returned to training outside for the first time last week, sparking the potential of a return later this season.

The former Burnley man had been in good form prior to his injury, scoring his first goals for the club and being called up to Roy Hodgson’s England squad – he was targeting a place at the summer’s European Championships.

Those hopes look dashed, but Ings is determined to come back stronger, as the video above shows.

The forward, who scored 11 goals in his debut Premier League campaign with the Clarets last season, is certainly one who should work well under Klopp due to his determined style and effective movement.

It will be good to have Ings – and fellow ACL victim Joe Gomez – back available next season.
