With Liverpool securing the signing of Gini Wijnaldum from Newcastle on Friday evening, Reds supporters gave their thoughts on the Dutchman’s arrival.
The 25-year-old has completed a five-year contract worth £25 million, becoming Jurgen Klopp‘s seventh permanent signing as Liverpool manager in the process.
Paul Joyce of the Express claims the deal went through after Klopp personally spoke to former Reds boss Rafa Benitez about the move.

Wijnaldum will become the seventh Dutch player to represent the club, joining Dirk Kuyt, Ryan Babel and more on the list, and will now fly to the United States to meet up with his new teammates.
The midfielder scored 11 goals in 38 Premier League appearances for Newcastle last season, including four in one game against Norwich in October.
Here is how Liverpool fans reacted to the signing of Wijnaldum on social media:

Zinedine Biscan on the forum:
A little bit underwhelming for me. Sure, seemed like a good player for Newcastle at points in the season but not one to get the pulse racing either.
Wijnaldum is a brilliant signing for Liverpool. And £25m is actually pretty decent value for money in the current transfer market.

Wijnaldum done. Brilliant signing in my opinion. Certain #LFC players will be getting concerned about their place in the team next season.

Hope Georginio Wijnaldum plays out on the left side of midfield for LFC. Been far too long since the number 5 played in that position.

Our attack feels so complete now. The Wijnaldum signing has just topped it all off given his ability to play in the 10, 8 & 6.

Giorgino Wijnaldum signs for @LFC. Five-year deal, £25m fee. For younger viewers, he gets @WhelanRonnie5's jersey.

Wijnaldum is a good signing. Any #LFC fans moaning about us signing him should realise that without Euro footy we ain't gonna sign better

Wijnaldum is a good buy. But not at this price.
