Liverpool have released their new third kit for the 2016/17 campaign, following launches for their home and away offerings.
The new kit, designed by club manufacturers New Balance, will be worn when required throughout the upcoming season.
Unlike this season’s home and away kits, Liverpool’s third kit is tailored with a panelled effect, with a luminous green body topped with black shoulders.
Furthermore, while the home kit has a single-button collar, and the away kit has a V neck, New Balance’s latest offering features a regular, rounded collar.
The shorts and socks are also the same, luminous green, ensuring Liverpool will stand out on the pitch.
There is also a small tribute to the 96 on the back neckline, as with both the home and away kits.
Speaking at the kit’s unveiling at Facebook HQ on Thursday, Liverpool vice-captain James Milner said: “It’s definitely an eye-catching kit, and it will stand out on the pitch.
“It’s always a thrill to represent Liverpool Football Club and it’ll be exciting to wear these colours whilst we do that.
“The key thing for the players is that it’s comfortable and this kit is part of a great collection for next year.”
Liverpool’s new third kit is available to buy immediately, and if purchased before August 7, the club are offering a free £10 LFC Retail gift card to spend in-store or online.
While the home goalkeeper kit is in lime green, and the away kit in orange, Liverpool’s new third kit will see Loris Karius, Simon Mignolet and Co. wear grey.
