The return of Liverpool’s England quintet on the first day of training in California on Thursday sees the squad taking shape for 2016/17.
The Liverpool players arrived at San Jose airport on the early hours of the morning local time, heading to their Palo Alto base in northern California.
A light training session saw Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana taking part at Stanford university – where the Reds will be based for the next 11 days.
Also joining the squad was new signing, centre-back Ragnar Klavan (above) and trialist goalkeeper Alex Manninger (below).
Jurgen Klopp will also have Belgian duo Simon Mignolet and Divock Origi back by the time they make the trip to southern California to play Chelsea on Wednesday next week.
Whether Christian Benteke joins the squad is yet to be known, but imminent new signing Giorgino Wiajnaldum is also expected to be available to make his debut against Antonio Conte’s side at the Rose Bowl stadium, just outside of Los Angeles.
After the game against Chelsea, the Reds will return to their Palo Alto base in the heart of Silicon Valley, before making the short trip to the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara for the game against AC Milan on July 30th.
