Goals from Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Marko Grujic, along with an unfortunate own goal from Javier Mascherano, sealed victory at Wembley Stadium at the beginning of the weekend.
This capped a bright start to a double-header to close off Liverpool’s pre-season preparations, before travelling to take on Klopp’s former side, Mainz, the following day.
Due to the physical toll of Saturday’s victory, the German made significant alterations to his side to take on the Bundesliga outfit.
Alex Manninger starts in goal, behind a back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Andre Wisdom and Alberto Moreno.
In midfield, Emre Can keeps his place, with Grujic and Jordan Henderson joining the German in what is likely to be a 4-3-3 formation.
Klopp has handed 16-year-old academy star Ben Woodburn a surprise return in attack, after leaving him out for Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the US.
The youngster lines up alongside Origi and Adam Lallana in what will be a free-flowing forward line.
Klopp has named 17 players on his substitutes’ bench, including youth players Caoimhin Kelleher, Sam Hart, Joe Maguire and Toni Gomes.
Dejan Lovren also makes the bench, despite struggling with an injury late on at Wembley, but James Milner and Daniel Sturridge both miss out, with heel and hip problems respectively.
