Liverpool will play Wolves at home in the FA Cup fourth round, if they beat Plymouth Argyle in their third-round replay.
The Reds were held to a 0-0 draw by the League Two side on Sunday afternoon, and face a trip to Home Park later in the month as they continue their bid for FA Cup glory.
Victory over Argyle in that fixture on Wednesday, January 18th, would see Liverpool through to a fourth-round clash with Championship side Wolves, after Monday night’s draw.
The last time the two sides met was in the 2011/12 season before the Midlands club were relegated from the Premier League.
The tie will take place on the weekend of January 28th.
The last time Liverpool played Wolves in the FA Cup was in the fourth round in 1952 – a match that saw the home side victorious in front of Anfield’s record crowd of 61,905.
Liverpool last won the FA Cup in 2006, and Jurgen Klopp will be pushing his side to improve on last season’s miserable exit at the hands of West Ham United in the fourth round.
