Mohamed Salah vows to “give everything” for Liverpool to win silverware

Liverpool’s £36.9 million summer signing Mohamed Salah has underlined his commitment to his new club, vowing to bring silverware to Anfield.

Salah is believed to have signed a five-year deal with the Reds, completing a medical on Thursday after an agreement was reached with AS Roma on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old will wear the No. 11 shirt, and follows Dominic Solanke as Jurgen Klopp‘s second signing of the summer.

A substantially more high-profile signing than the young striker, however, Salah is primed to boost his new squad as a key player.

Joining Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and new No. 9 Roberto Firmino as Klopp’s principle attackers, Salah can hope to form a devastating quartet to edge Liverpool closer to success.

On his unveiling on Thursday night, Salah highlighted his ambitions with the Reds, saying he would “give everything” to achieve the club’s objectives.

“I’m very excited to be here. I’m very happy,” he told LiverpoolFC.com at Melwood.

“I will give 100 percent and give everything for the club. I really want to win something for this club.

“We have a great team and very good players. I was watching the games last year and everyone was giving 100 percent to win something.

“Everyone can see the coach gives everything. I hope to see that together we can give everything to win something for the club, for the supporters and for us.”

Salah’s determination and work rate are two of the key attributes he will bring to Klopp’s squad, alongside pace, creativity, dynamism, versatility and a keen eye for goal.

Liverpool supporters can hope to get their first glimpse of Salah in action against Tranmere Rovers on July 12.
