Liverpool bounced back from two successive draws against Chelsea and Sevilla with a 3-0 victory over Stoke City on Wednesday evening.
Stoke City 0-3 Liverpool
Premier League, Bet365 Stadium
29 November, 2017
Goals: Mane 17′, Salah 83′, 88′.
Forwards Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino returned to the starting XI after being rested for Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea, but Mohamed Salah was on the bench, with Dominic Solanke handed a rare start in attack.
Mane gave the Reds a deserved first half lead. He and Solanke had further chances to extend the Reds’ lead.
Simon Mignolet was at the centre of controversy after a late tackle prompted calls for a red card from Stoke supporters but he was only shown a yellow.
Two former Reds, Peter Crouch and Joe Allen, combined to almost grab Stoke an equaliser but Mo Salah came on as a substitute to score Liverpool’s second and third as they secured a 3-0 win in style.
Here are the reactions from Liverpool supporters on social media throughout the game:
Fans were shocked to see Mohamed Salah rested from the starting XI…
Salah can’t play every game, we don’t want to break him.
What’s everyone’s issue with that line up?

“Why doesn’t he play his strongest team available in the league, we are not good enough to be swapping and changing.” – Paul Ellis on Facebook.
No Salah, just as I wanted as he needed a rest, but there goes my fantasy team for this game week ??????

But fans were delighted when Mane gave Liverpool a 1-0 lead…
Firmino letting that roll in instead of snaking Mane’s goal. That’s the kind of mate I need in life

It's good to see that Saido Mane can do it on a freezing cold Midweek night in Stoke

Liverpool should have held a greater lead at half-time through Mane…
Should have been 2-0

Fantastic result tonight. Stoke on the slide admittedly but we needed that with Chelsea and Arsenal winning their respective home-bankers. Salah, the unassuming genius, does it again.
