Mohamed Salah nominated for Premier League player of the month award

The accolades continue to roll in for Mohamed Salah as the Liverpool forward is shortlisted for the Premier League‘s player of the month award.

The Egyptian forward has been in scintillating form all season long, but even by his standards, he enjoyed a tremendous run in March.

He played in four league matches for the Reds during the month, netting an astonishing six goals in that period to surge clear in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Additionally, Salah is the top scorer in Europe, with his 29 league strikes leaving him currently three clear in the race for the Golden Shoe.

Liverpool’s first game in March saw Salah score against Newcastle in a 2-0 victory, before drawing his only blank against Man United.

That was followed up by a sublime four-goal haul against Watford at Anfield in a 5-0 thrashing.

Most recently, Salah netted the late winner at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace, handing the Reds a 2-1 victory as they came from behind to take the points.

Salah is up against five other attackers for the award.

Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku, Everton‘s Cenk Tosun, Man City‘s David Silva, Burnley‘s Chris Wood and Son Heung-min of Tottenham are the others in the running.
