Jurgen Klopp felt his side fully deserved the point from their 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Saturday evening.
“Of course we deserved the point,” said the Reds’ boss in his press conference after watching side continue their unbeaten start to the season.
“Both teams deserved a point, that’s good; we only had more chances that’s all. I thought we did it in a really impressive way.”
On Daniel Sturridge‘s late equaliser, Klopp praised: “Three days ago we had a similar situation and Daniel hit the crossbar. He is a fantastic football player, he’s in the best shape since I know him.
“I’m really happy for him. He works hard, he’s a good lad. When he came in the dressing room, it was pretty loud, the boys were all really happy for him, he really is in a good moment.”
Klopp’s side are level on points with Man City at the top of the Premier League table, and the two sides face each other at Anfield next Sunday.
