Alisson Named World’s Best Keeper
Alisson has had a superb year for Roma and Liverpool—as well as appearing at the World Cup for Brazil—and his efforts have been rewarded.
The 26-year-old has been named the best goalkeeper in the business according to Goal 50—Goal‘s annual look at the top 50 footballers in the world.
He has beaten off competition from the likes of David de Gea, Jan Oblak, Gianluigi Buffon and Thibaut Courtois, highlighting what a wonderful ‘keeper Liverpool have in their ranks.
Alisson‘s official ranking in the 50-man list has not yet been revealed, with the results set to be announced on November 13.
Milner’s Endurance Highlighted
No player has covered more distance per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season than James Milner.
The midfielder averages 12.7 kilometers each game, coming out on top ahead of Tottenham‘s Christian Eriksen (12.6km) and Bournemouth‘s Dan Gosling (12.5km).
It sums up what an incredible athlete the 32-year-old remains, at an age where many footballers begin to rapidly slow down.
Having racked up over 1,000 minutes of action already this season, Milner remains central to Jurgen Klopp‘s plans and has worn the armband this term on a regular basis.
Liverpool Interested In ‘Serbian Falcao’?
LFC Globe claim that Liverpool are keen to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s on-loan striker Luka Jovic.
The 20-year-old is currently on a two-year stint in the Bundesliga, having joined Frankfurt from Benfica in the summer of 2017.
Jovic has nine goals and three assists to his name already this season and has been dubbed the ‘Serbian Falcao’ back in his homeland, due to his likeness to Colombian legend Radamel Falcao in style.
It’s not exactly a concrete story, but perhaps one to keep an eye on.
Markovic Explains ‘Liking’ Photo
Lazar Markovic took some flack for ‘liking’ a photo of Serbia flags after Liverpool lost 2-0 to Red Star Belgrade, with some wrongly thinking it was a dig at the Reds.
The 24-year-old has taken to Twitter to explain the situation, however.
Dear people , I made "like" to the picture with serbian flags. Im an ex Partizan Belgrade player and big supporter. As such obviously I couldn’t jump around celebrating Red Star Belgrade winning the match. Specially not against @LFC . Thank you all!

Reds Watching Youngster—But No Malcom Move
According to Goal, Barcelona forward Malcom looks set to stay at Camp Nou, with the Catalan giants keen to keep hold of him.
Liverpool had been one of a host of clubs monitoring the Brazilian’s situation, with reports linking him with a January exit.
That has now seemingly changed, though, with Malcom saying he “can help Barcelona a lot more,” having scored away to Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, reports in Spain from Sport suggest Liverpool have enquired about the services of highly rated Real Mallorca youngster Victor de Baunbag.
Capable of playing as a central striker or out wide, the Cameroonian is seen as having great potential, with his technical frame and 6’2″ frame forming a potent mix.
