Complete fixture list revealed for Liverpool U18s in 2019/20

Liverpool’s U18s have a lot to live up to this season, with an FA Youth Cup to defend and more youngsters hoping to take the next step toward senior action.

Last season was an eventful one for Barry Lewtas and his players, mirroring the senior team to an extent.

Jurgen Klopp‘s team just missed out on the title but won a major cup and it was the same for the young Reds, as they pushed Derby County all the way for the U18 Premier League North title, eventually finishing second on goal difference—but enjoyed success in the FA Youth Cup.

Several members of that successful team are expected to step up into the U23s this season, including the free-scoring Bobby Duncan.

And it means new faces will get the chance to prove their worth in turn, starting on 10 August against Blackburn Rovers.

Other key dates for the youth include the first mini-derby of the season on 5 October away to Everton and a trip to last year’s table-toppers Derby on 7 December. The final game of the campaign will also be against Derby, at home on 25 April.

Home games take place at the Kirkby Academy.

The U18s will also participate in the FA Youth Cup, the Premier League Cup and in the UEFA Youth League as an U19 side.
