Joe Gomez has signed a new six-year deal at Liverpool and supporters have unsurprisingly been left delighted with the news.
Gomez penned a new-and-improved contract on Monday, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2024.
The 21-year-old is currently nursing a broken leg that will keep him out until next year, but it is still a significant piece of business.
Gomez had arguably been Liverpool’s best player this season prior to his injury and his reputation across Europe was continuing to soar.
There are few more exciting young centre-backs in the world, so nailing him down to a long-term deal at Anfield can only be a positive.
